Zinc Production is a Toronto-based production company, founded in in 2006 by Kathi Ziolkowski. Our production team who have worked and lived internationally, provides comprehensive expertise and support to international teams coming to Canada to shoot.

Over the years we’ve produced hundreds of jobs for clients both internationally and across Canada, and we’ve built a wonderful network of talented people along the way. Together, we make sure every tiny detail of each project is taken care of – so agencies, photographers, directors and clients can feel relaxed and confident every step of the way. We love a challenge, and no problem is too big, small or tricky for us to solve.

Another thing that sets us apart is our flexibility. We know that no two projects are the same – each requires a different combination of skills and personalities. But while we love nothing more than drawing on our network to assemble a great project team, we’re equally happy slotting into your existing team too. For us, it's all about working cohesively to get the job done, with all hands on deck (and smiles on faces). And whatever the job our priority is always the same: to deliver picture perfect results we can all be proud of.

Kathi Ziolkowski


Kathi founded Zinc Production in 2000 after previous roles as the International Public Relations Director for Club Monaco and the Executive Producer for Holt Renfrew’s advertising department. While at Club Monaco, Kathi launched the brand into the USA, forged strategic relationships with key media, celebrities and businesses, and held curated events for them. At Holt Renfrew she developed relationships with the most exclusive studios and agencies in North America and Europe to produce shoots, and worked closely with the showrooms of the world’s top designers to get their samples on location, on time. Working with the best agencies, talent, and production companies in the world, she realized that Canada needed the calibre of service that existed in other markets. . 

Within months of launching her own company, Kathi was working with the team at Wallpaper* and Winkreative, producing ads for Wallpaper* advertisers, and content for clients such as Abercrombie and Fitch. She also secured Holt Renfrew as a client, producing millions of dollars of advertising a year with different agencies, a relationship that lasted for over a decade. 

At the advent of the digital, content and influencer economy Kathi was enlisted to create a sales and monetization strategy for The Coveteur, a luxury digital website. Over the next 5 years she developed an in-house agency that drove millions of dollars in sales by creating digital content, events and advertising. During this time she applied her production knowledge to creating cross platform content packages that leveraged the reach of influencers for publishers including Hearst Media, Time inc, and Conde Nast as well as brands including LVMH, Gucci, Net-a-Porter, Burberry, Starwood Hotels, and Air France.
